Streator man arrested after stabbing two people

STREATOR —  A Streator man was arrested by LaSalle County Sheriff’s police after allegedly stabbing two people June 14.

William L. Reed, 69, of Streator, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and taken to LaSalle County jail to await a bond hearing.

Reed is alleged to have stabbed a 50-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman at the Pines Motel in Streator, where all three live.

The victims were taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator and transferred to OSF St. Francis in Peoria.
