The Party in the Park yearly town celebration in South Wilmington is set for July 26, 27, and 28.

This is a family-oriented event that kicks off on Friday night with Home Run Derby, a 5K run, kids games, sidewalk chalk and Karaoke.

Saturday is a fun-filled day with crafters and vendors, kiddie tractor pull, Strawberry the Clown, a moonwalk, lip sync, local dancers, and a roast pork dinner.

Three area groups — The Getinanys, Dixie Rose Band, and Slick Willy — will provide music from 2:30 p.m. until midnight.

Sunday’s schedule includes a tractor show, church service, golf carts, spaghetti dinner, bean bags, kiddie water fights, a talent show and parades.

A baby contest, 50/50 drawings, bingo, and a beer tent will be going on all weekend, along with a Big Wheel on Friday and Saturday night.

Party in the Park will provide fun for the whole family. All proceeds from the weekend festivities go toward making the VFW Park in the town of South Wilmington a fun and safe haven for children and adults to enjoy.
