On July 3, almost 350 runners and walkers participated in the fourth annual Liberty 5K Run/Walk. But the participants were not the only ones to benefit from the event, as $1,800 in proceeds were donated to benefactors and volunteers from local nonprofit organizations. Tasha Bunting (far right) from the Grundy County Farm Bureau Foundation, and Julie Applegate (far left) from the Morris Downtown Development Partnership, presented a check for $500 to (second from left) Cece Weathersby, Cat Costello and Ray Phelps of Patriots 4 Heroes.
