Morris student graduates with honors

SUGAR GROVE – Dana Ashlee Duggins of Morris graduated with honors May 23 from Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove.

Duggins received an associate’s degree with a major in therapeutic massage. She achieved membership in the National Technical Honor Society.

Duggins, a 2009 graduate of Morris Community High School, is the daughter of Don and Debi Duggins of Morris. She is employed as a licensed massage therapist at Riverside Chiropractic Center in Seneca.

Local students named to Purdue’s dean’s list

Four local students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester at Purdue University.

Local students named to the dean’s list include Judith Johnson and Jennifer Jill Leake of Diamond, and Rochelle Claire and Grant Magers of Morris.

To be named to the dean’s list, a student must have completed at least 12 credit hours, be enrolled at least half-time, have a semester grade point average of at least 3.0 and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

About 9,600 Purdue University students were selected for this honor for the spring 2013 semester.
