An “Investigating Insects” free workshop is planned from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the University of Illinois Extension Office in Morris.

Phillip Kaufman, assistant professor of veterinary entomology from the University of Florida, and Russ Higgins, extension educator and commercial agriculture from the University of Illinois, will present this workshop.

Kaufman will put on the workshop while he is visiting the area to receive one of three Illinois 4-H alumni awards during the College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences College Connection at Illinois on Friday.

Kaufman is a former Grundy County 4-H member. During the workshop, the youth and adults will have the chance to collect, count and identify insects.
