Diamond Therapy Center recently opened at 1370 E. Division St., Diamond.

Dr. Joseph Campobasso, who has served the Diamond/Coal City area for 12 years, has also moved to this location. He is a certified chiropractic sports physician specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of sports-related injuries.

Diamond Therapy Center provides chiropractic services, massage services and physical therapy. The center has state-of-the-art, high-performance therapy and rehabilitation equipment in a large, open setting, with six private rooms and X-ray on site.

Licensed massage therapists are trained in a variety of techniques, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, sports massage, prenatal massage and hot stone therapy.

Patients are given a customized treatment plan to fit their abilities, needs and goals. Doctors and therapists stay advanced in treatment knowledge by attending numerous seminars throughout each year.

Through extensive training and expertise, they can improve flexibility, stability, strength and endurance, thereby reducing stress and muscle fatigue, and allowing quick recovery, returning to activities sooner, minimizing chances of a relapse and to help prevent or slow early degenerative changes from occurring that lead to arthritic conditions.

Early diagnosis and treatment of an injury are essential. Detrimental effects that may occur, perhaps years later, if proper treatment is not initiated as soon as possible include chronic illness, injury, pain, fatigue, fibromyalgia and degenerative or arthritic conditions.

Some of the conditions treated at Diamond Therapy Center include headaches and migraines, TMJ disorders, neck and back pain, bulging discs, pinched nerves, carpal tunnel syndrome, numbness and tingling, fibromyalgia, rotator cuff injuries and knee and ankle injuries.

Custom foot orthotics are also offered. Orthotics help provide postural balance and stabilization at the body’s foundation. Improper balance and support in the feet may be an important factor in discovering why there is discomfort or pain in ankles, knees, hips, back, shoulder or even neck.

If the feet are not supporting the legs and spine correctly, then those areas would be put under increased stress when attempting to compensate for the abnormality. This could lead to poor posture, muscle tension, weakness, fatigue, pain, heel spurs, scoliosis, degenerative and arthritic changes, bunions, plantar fasciitis and even neurologic conditions.

At Diamond Therapy Center, proven treatment methods, such as physical therapy, chiropractic therapy, massage therapy and nutritional counseling are offered to treat a variety of conditions.

Anyone suffering from pain or needing another opinion can call Diamond Therapy Center. After an examination, a review of any diagnostic tests such as X-rays or MRI’s, and an extensive consultation with the center’s physician, a customized treatment plan will be made.

At Diamond Therapy Center, through an integrative approach including chiropractic care, physical therapy, massage therapy, medical physician referrals when appropriate and obtaining proper diagnostic studies, the cause of pain is treated, not just the symptoms.

Diamond Therapy Center is committed to providing exceptional care and service to the community. To schedule an appointment, call 815-634-0755.
