DENVER, Colo. — Mrs. Elizabeth Ann (Myrick) Bir, 77, died on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, in the Amberwood Care Center, Denver, Colo.
Ann was born in Chestnut, Ill., on Jan. 31, 1936, the daughter of Vesta and Burdell Myrick. The family moved to Morris, Ill., when she was 4 or 5. She graduated from Morris Community High School before obtaining a degree in psychology at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.
Several positions were held after college, her most important being a wonderful mother to her three children. Other positions were an assistant in the USC Department of Psychology, a representative for salon products, and finally a real estate agent.
Her place of residence for many years was in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. Later she lived in West Hollywood, Calif., until a move to Colorado to be closer to her children.
Surviving are three children, Elizabeth Ryan (husband Bill), George (wife Valerie) and Mike (wife Melissa), who reside in Colorado, as well as several grandchildren.
Ann will be deeply missed by her family and the many close friends around the U.S.
No service has been planned. Her remains will be buried on Sept. 27, 2013, with her parents' at Laenna Cemetery in Chestunut, Ill.
