A Yorkville resident who went to the area of a traffic crash on Fox Road ended up receiving multiple citations himself from Kendall County deputies.
When Taylor Lawson Crawford, 21, arrived at the scene a little after 1 a.m. Sunday, a deputy was on scene investigating an earlier traffic accident. The deputy told Crawford on multiple occasions to stay off the roadway.
After Crawford disobeyed this order several times, he was advised he would be issued a citation for being an intoxicated pedestrian on a roadway. He then refused to provide identification, at which point the deputy told Crawford he would be cited for obstructing a peace officer.
Crawford then ran away from the deputy. He was apprehended nearby, but resisted being handcuffed. He was eventually taken to Rush Copley Hospital and a warrant will be sought for his arrest.
