Blood drive set for Oct. 17

COAL CITY – Knights of Columbus of Assumption Parish will hold a blood drive from 3 to 7 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Berst Center, 245 S. Kankakee St., Coal City.

All eligible donors are needed to help keep the local blood supply strong. Blood donations may help a patient at a local hospital like Morris Hospital, Presence St. Mary’s in Kankakee and both Joliet area hospitals.

Community members interested in making donations should call Bill at 815-671-7665 to sign up.

Registration can also be done online at www.heartlandbc.org. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Donors should bring a photo ID and eat a good meal before giving blood.
