District 17 to hold special meeting today

CHANNAHON – The board of education for Channahon School District 17 will to hold a special session school board meeting at 6 p.m. today.

The board will discuss the possibility of reserving some funds for an estimated $17 million of work that needs to be done on the district’s four schools, including electrical, plumbing and septic work and possibly remodeling an old IT room into classrooms, among other projects.

The meeting will be in the district board room at Pioneer Path School, 24920 S. Sage St., Channahon. The meeting is open to the public.
