Fossil Ridge Library releases November events

Fossil Ridge Public Library is holding the following events in November. The library is at 386 W. Kennedy Road in Braidwood. For information on the library, visit www.fossilridge.org or call 815-458-2187.

November also is “Food for Fines Month,” where people can pay their overdue fines with nonperishable food that will go to local food pantries.

Nov. 11, 18 – preschool storytime, 5:45 p.m., registration required

Nov. 11, 18 – Lapsit, 5:45 p.m., birth to age 3, registration required

Nov. 13, 20 – preschool storytime, 11 a.m., registration is required

Nov. 13, 20 – Lapsit, 11 a.m., birth to age 3, registration required

Nov. 13 – Candle holder craft, 6 p.m., registration required

Nov. 14 – Smarty Paints, 3:45 p.m., bimonthly craft activity after school for third through fifth grades. Registration is encouraged

Nov. 14 – Teen game night, 5 p.m., sixth through 12th grades

Nov. 18 – Board of Trusteees meeting, 7 p.m.

Nov. 20 – Free movie and popcorn, 5 p.m., showing “Man of Steel”

Nov. 21 – Family Reading Night/Family Pajama Party, 5 to 7 p.m., attendees invited to wear pajamas and bring the family for a night of bedtime stories, breakfast and fun

Nov. 22 – Harry Potter Club monthly book club, 3:45 p.m.

Nov. 30 – Holiday movie marathon, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., showing “Elf” and “A Muppet Christmas Carol.”
