Morris swimming doesn't move on to state

Morris placed ninth of 13 teams, and had no state qualifiers, at the Lockport Girls Swimming and Diving Sectional Saturday.

Brooke Avila, Morgan Abraham, Jennifer Ashley and Kelly Kolotka of Morris were eighth in the 200 medley relay (2:10.22), and Ashley, Jadeah Spindler, Avila and Reilly Chytracek were eighth in the 200 free relay (1:56.64). Kolotka, Kaela Kreis, Abraham and Chytracek were ninth in the 400 free relay (4:26.99).

Individually for Morris, Alex Schauer was 10th (251.85) and Kayla Lewis 11th (236.30) in diving. Ashley was 11th (1:12.13) and Abraham 16th (1:16.75) in the 100 fly. Avila was 12th (1:12.66) and Makenzi Claassen 19th (1:18.95) in the 100 back. Ashley was 13th (2:37.66) and Avila 18th (2:45.94) in the 200 IM. Chytracek was 13th (2:17.35) and Alyssa Solis 19th (2:40.37) in the 200 free. Kolotka was 13th (28.82) and Spindler 19th (29.81) in the 50 free.

Abraham was 14th (1:24.92) and Molly Fruland 15th (1:28.08) in the 100 breast.

Chytracek was 15th (6:06.54) and Emily Walker 21st (7:19.37) in the 500 free. Kolotka was 16th (1:05.85) and Kreis 20th (1:12.92) in the 100 free.
