Crime stoppers seeking information on attempted armed robbery

Grundy County Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an attempted armed robbery that occurred recently in Morris.

About 4:55 a.m. Nov. 30 an attempted armed robbery took place in the parking lot of the Taco Bell restaurant in Morris, according to a news release from the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect displayed a pocket knife and was described as a male wearing a black ski mask, green jacket and khaki pants. The suspect fled the area on foot.

Crime Stoppers requests that anyone with information about this or any other criminal activity call the Crime Stoppers line at 815-942-9667. Callers may remain anonymous and rewards of up to $5,000 are offered for information which leads to the arrest of the offenders.
