Catholic Charities has been offering assistance to those in Diamond and Coal City since a tornado struck those communities Nov. 17, and intends to continue to offer support until everyone impacted by the violent storm has fully recovered.

Catholic Charities’ professional counselors understand the anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress that come from surviving a devastating experience and the lasting effects such an incident can leave, according to a news release from the organization, which is why it is offering counseling services, free of charge, to anyone of any age that might be in need.

The organization also intends to continue to assist those impacted by the violent storms with food, housing, financial support, transportation, home repairs, household supplies, storage/warehousing and child care.
