CHANNAHON TOWNSHIP – A Bolingbrook woman died Saturday after her car went into a ditch on Interstate 55 near Channahon.

The Will County Coroner's office reported Mary D. Giles, 59, was pronounced dead at 6:46 p.m. at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center.

Giles was found by state police near the Arsenal Road ramp, 261 feet from the northbound lanes of I-55, Coroner Patrick K. O'Neil said.

"The autopsy [performed Sunday] was inconclusive, so the death is still under investigation pending toxicology and test results," O'Neil said.
