MINOOKA – A man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a SUV Tuesday.

Kendall County Deputy Bryan Harl said the collision happened about 3:30 p.m. on Ridge Road near Holt Road – an unincorporated area.

“The 49-year-old man was riding north on Ridge Road behind a Chevrolet Blazer driven by a 17-year-old girl,” Harl said. “When the Blazer made a left turn, the motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the vehicle.”

The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity had not been released Tuesday afternoon. It was unknown if he was wearing a helmet.

The Blazer driver was not injured.

Harl said the accident remains under investigation.
