Morris Library to host Bus Trip to Pheasant Run Theater to see Sisters of Swing

MORRIS – The Morris Area Public Library will be taking a trip to Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles on June 19 to see “Sisters of Swing.” LaVerne, Maxene and Patty are The Andrews Sisters – one of the best-selling female vocal groups of all time, selling over 90 million records with more Top Ten Hits than the Beatles or Elvis. Join them on their journey from the early days on the road, through their rise as recording stars, to entertaining American GI’s overseas, and finally dissembling over differences. With over 20 hit songs like “Bei Mir Bist Du Schon,” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” this unique perspective reveals how the events of their lives shaped who they became to the rest of the world.

The cost of the trip is $58 and includes transportation, your show ticket, and a wonderful matinee lunch selection. The charter bus leaves the library at 11a.m., lunch is at 12:30 p.m. and the show is at 2 p.m. Be sure to visit the shops at Pheasant Run Resort before boarding the bus at 5 p.m. to return to Morris. Call (815) 942-6880 to register.
