Morris Hospital holds support group for those fighting cancer

MORRIS – The Radiation Therapy Center of Morris Hospital is hosting the “I Can Cope” Cancer Support Group from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Morris Regional Oncology Center, 1600 W. US Route 6 in Morris.

This month’s support group focuses on “Managing the Effects of Illness and Treatment” with a concentration on the health challenges imposed by cancer. Discussion will provide an overview of common cancer and treatment-related problems, as well as possible strategies including pain management and nutritional interventions, to help individuals undergoing cancer treatment begin to build self-care techniques.
