MORRIS – Homes for Heroes, a company that affiliates with realtors, lenders and other real estate related service providers who offer substantial discounts to the heroes who serve the nation every day, is now available in Grundy, Will, Kendall and Livingston counties.

Four local real estate agents along with a local mortgage lender are now affiliated with Homes for Heroes. They are offering savings to military personnel, veterans, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, nurses, healthcare workers and teachers who are buying, selling or refinancing a home, according to a news release.

These designated affiliated real estate agents are Colleen Benson, Lori Bonarek, Cindy Gotling and Cindy Rice from Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell’s Morris office. In addition, Terri Trotter Earley of W.J. Bradley with Mortgage Capital LLC PinPoint Mortgage Team NMLS number 579177 is the local lender affiliate.

This program was created after the tragic events of Sept. 11 as a “thank you” to the men and women who have given so much. Its founders saw that many of the hometown heroes who serve and protect us could not afford to buy homes in our communities. So, a partnership of realtors, mortgage lenders, title companies and other affiliated service providers in Minnesota’s Twin Cities created Homes for Heroes in an effort to help ease some of the costs associated with purchasing a new home. To date, more than $4,750,000 has been given back to heroes as the result of this program, according to the release.

For information about Homes for Heroes, call one of the Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell affiliated agents at 815-942-2705. Regarding lending options for buyers and sellers or refinancing, call Terri from WJ Bradley the PinPoint Mortgage Team at 815-712-7848.
