Memorial Day grave flags available

MORRIS – Take the time this Memorial Day to remember veterans who have passed, especially those who have died in service to our nation.

On Memorial Day, it is a tradition to mark the graves of veterans with flags. The Morris VFW and American Legion will make flags available to family members of veterans buried in Morris cemeteries. They can be obtained at either post.

Flags should be placed at the grave by Memorial Day, May 26, and removed as soon as possible after the holiday to prevent the flag from becoming unserviceable.

You may keep the flag if you intend to use it next year, otherwise please return it to one of the posts.
