Local businesses fill We Care’s pantry

MORRIS – The Morris Building and Loan, Boggs & Fillenwarth, and the Law Office of Robert J. Russo donated more than $750 to help We Care of Grundy County purchase 4,629 pounds of food from Northern Illinois Food Bank and provided volunteers to unload the truck and stock the shelves last week.

Upcoming Fill the Pantry sponsors include Brandt Builders and United Meters Inc; LyondellBasell and Morris Hospital.

We Care, at 520 W. Illinois Ave., Morris, is a nonprofit agency that provides emergency assistance to Grundy County residents in the form of food, rent, utility and prescription assistance.
