MORRIS – First Christian Church in Morris is holding its 11th annual Price-less Day on July 22. In preparation for the free garage sale, the church is asking community members to donate their unwanted items.

Donated items will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 20 or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 21, according to a news release from the church. Items cannot be accepted after July 21.

Those wishing to make donations are asked to park on the west side of the church near the drop-off banner and tent so someone can unload the vehicle. The church asks that donors wait a few minutes as items are checked to ensure they are acceptable for the sale, according to the news release.

Items that require more than one person to move, such as couches, dressers and refrigerators, will not be accepted. For safety reasons, cribs, windows, carpet, knives, paint, tires, saws or contraction materials will not be accepted. Computers or heavy TVs also will not be accepted.

All items must be safe, clean, usable, and free from stains or odors. The church requests donations be sorted together by like items and placed in marked bags with a description, such as kitchen, linens, woman's large clothing, boys 3T, etc.

The sale will be from 5 to 8 p.m. July 22, and the general public is encouraged to come and take items free of charge, according to the news release.

Receipts are available for tax purposes, and all items not taken will be donated to a nonprofit. The church is at 455 W. Southmor Road. Call 815-942-3454 with questions or for information.
