Channahon drops first game at 9U World Series

WALNUT, Calif. - The first game of the Mustang World Series was anything but a California dream for the Channahon 9U All-Star team on Friday.

Channahon dropped a 13-0 decision to Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico in the opening round of the series. They will play again Saturday at 4 p.m. CST.

Morris Girls Tennis: Girls interested in coming out for the Morris Community High School girls tennis team, please show up on the MCHS courts on Aug. 13 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. for the first day of practice. Please make sure you have all necessary paperwork turned in to the school nurse in order to participate. All are welcome, whether you've played tennis before or not.

Rowdie Katz: Tryouts for the Rowdie Katz 14U, 16U and 18U teams will take place at 4 p.m. at Roth Field on Saturday. Interested players can go to rowdiekatz.com for information.
