Note to readers: Information in Police Reports is obtained from local police departments and the Grundy County sheriff’s office. Individuals listed in Police Reports who have been charged with a crime have not been proven guilty in court.

Morris

• Tony Vaccaro, 35, of Coal City, was arrested by Morris police on July 27 on a Will County failure-to-appear warrant for a traffic offense. He posted bond and was released with an Aug. 27 court date.

• Lawrence A. Carter, 42, was arrested by Morris police on July 27 on a charge of criminal damage to property following an incident at the Morris Menards store. He posted bond and was released with an Aug. 11 court date.

• David Searer, 52, of Wisconsin, was arrested by Morris police and booked into the Grundy County Jail on July 27 on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was given an Aug. 25 court date.

• Derek Cockream, 22, of Morris, was arrested by Morris police on July 27 on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. He also was cited for improper parking on a roadway. He posted bond and was released with an Aug. 18 court date.

• Christopher T. Santiago, 28, was arrested by Morris police and booked into the Grundy County Jail on July 26 on a charge of domestic battery.

Grundy County

• Scott T. Johnson, 49, of Joliet, was arrested by Grundy County sheriff’s deputies and booked into the Grundy County Jail on July 27 on a charge of driving under the influence. He also was cited for improper lane usage and possession drug paraphernalia. He was given an Aug. 25 court date.

• Brandon R. McCaughn, 19, of Taylorville, was arrested by Grundy County sheriff’s deputies on July 25 on a Grundy County failure-to-appear warrant for criminal trespass to real property. He was given an Aug. 11 court date.

Minooka

• James E. Dewitt, 26, of Minooka, was arrested by Minooka police and booked into the Grundy County Jail on July 25 on charges of aggravated assault and battery.

• Jesus M. Acosta, 26, of Minooka, was arrested by Minooka police on July 25 on a charge of battery. He was released on bond with a Grundy County court date.
