Nettle Creek School hosting pig roast for school community

MORRIS – Students, their families, staff and the Nettle Creek community are invited to a pig roast Aug. 18 at Nettle Creek School.

The fun will begin at 5 p.m. Aug. 18, according to a news release from the school. A pig will be roasted on the Nettle Creek School grounds, and the PTO will be providing games and activities. 

Immediately following the pig roast, students and parents will be invited to their children’s classrooms to hear about all of the things their children will be learning at Nettle Creek School this year. Teachers will be highlighting the new one-to-one technology initiative, including online curriculum resources that will be used for the first time this year. 

School begins at Nettle Creek the day after the pig roast. For information or to RSVP, call the school office at 815-942-0511.
