CHANNAHON – Children 13 and younger in Channahon have the opportunity to receive college scholarships by simply coloring.

The Cellular Connection is launching a “Color for College” program that will donate $1,500 college scholarships to students nationwide at nearly 300 of its stores, according to a news release from the store.

Through Aug. 31, participating TCC stores – including the one at 27243 Saxony Dr., Suite D in Channahon – are inviting families to bring their children to the store to color a pre-printed page from TCC and complete the entry information on the back.

One $1,500 scholarship will be given to the winning submission – drawn at random – at each participating store in the form of a 529 college savings plan.

No purchase is necessary; winners will be selected in a random drawing Sept. 5. Parents and guardians of the winners will be contacted by Sept. 30 with details of how to redeem the scholarships.
