Special Connections to hold golf outing

MORRIS – Special Connections of Grundy County will host its fourth annual golf outing Sept. 6 at Nettle Creek Country Club in Morris.

The outing benefits Special Connections, a nonprofit organization, in its mission to connect people with disabilities to their community through social interactions, education, recreational opportunities and shared information, according to a news release from event organizers. The organization promotes an environment of inclusion, self-determination and knowledge.

Beginning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., lunch, raffles and prizes will follow at 1:30 p.m. Registration is $450 per foursome or $125 per individual golfer, and includes golf, cart and lunch. For lunch only, it is $25 a person.

There are numerous sponsorship opportunities available, ranging from $25 to $2,500.  Donations for raffle items are welcome. All sponsors will be recognized at the event.
