The Realize Adjustable Gastric Band is a device that is surgically implanted around the stomach to help people with morbid obesity lose weight and improve or resolve obesity-related health conditions. The band was FDA approved in October 2007. Miranda Blazekovich, 32, of Diamond, had been overweight for 10 to 12 years. “I could not get the weight off.
