Douglas R. Kessinger

CHATSWORTH, Ill. — Mr. Douglas R. Kessinger, 60, of Chatsworth, Ill., died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at his residence in Chatsworth.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Born Oct. 2, 1948, in Blue Island, Ill., he was the son of Bradford and Beatrice (Raimo) Kessinger. He had been employed at Doug's House of Radiators in Blue Island, Morris and Chatsworth.

Survivors include his sons, Douglas (Christina) Kessinger, who is stationed in Germany with the Air Force and Jason (Kara) Kessinger; his brothers, David Kessinger and Roger (Linda) Kessinger; his sisters, Ruth Ann Bartozek, Charmaine (John) Garrett, Cindy (Tony) Koetzle and Denise (Bob) Wojtonik; sister-in-law, Elaine Kessinger; special lifelong friend, Carol; and grandchildren, Noah Kessinger and Treyton Kessinger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bradford Kessinger, Jr.; one sister, Sandra Martin; and one brother-in-law, Steve Bartozek.
