Mr. and Mrs. David Gemmer of Morris are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Frances, to Luke Eric Brockman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Brockman of Mazon.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Morris Community High School and a 2004 graduate of Joliet Junior College with an associate’s degree in Greenhouse Management. She is presently employed with Elite Flower of Alsip.

The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Seneca Township High School and a 2003 graduate of Joliet Junior College with a degree in Computer Drafting and Design. He is presently employed with Meece Engineering of Coal City.

A September wedding is being planned.

Lincecum, Greinke win Cy Young awards
