Car show proceeds to fund scholarship

WILMINGTON — There will be a C.J. Begler Scholarship Benefit Car Show, featuring cars of all shapes and sizes from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 19, at 715 S. Joliet St., Wilmington.

Cars being entered in the show is $20. Donations accepted from spectators. The first 100 cars receives a t-shirt and goodie bag. Trophies will be awarded.

There will be picnic-style fun at the Wilmington Middle School.

Raffles and split-the-pot, bouncing houses for the kids, Matchbox car drag races, concessions with hot dogs, chips, and drinks.

All monies will be donated to the C.J. Begler Scholarship Endowment Fund.

Mail your registration form and fee to: Begler’s Auto, 211 N. First St., Wilmington, IL 60481.

No alcohol or smoking is allowed on school grounds.
