Q: Do you — or have you — play other sports at Minooka?
A: No, bowling is the only sport in which I am involved.
Q: How long have you bowled at MCHS and how long have you been on the varsity roster?
A: I have bowled all four years and been on the varsity for three seasons.
Q: When did you first begin bowling? Who helped you get involved in the sport?
A: I first started bowling when I was 4, with my dad, Lou.
Q: Did you play other sports in your younger days? What sports?
A: I played baseball. And actually, I play golf. That's my hobby.
Q: What are the things you enjoy about bowling?
A: It was the first sport I started playing. My dad taught me and I got really good at it. I just like bowling. It is an awesome sport.
Q: In all your years of bowling, what is your highest score?
A: I bowled a 289. I had a spare after a 9-count in the first frame. And then in the 10th frame, I left a 10-pin [actually, on his final shot in the 12th frame].
Q: How long have you been bowling in organized leagues?
A: I actually started bowling in a league [in the Joliet area] when I was 4.
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: I enjoy math the most. I am really good with numbers.
Q: Any brothers and/or sisters?
A: I have a brother, Brady, who is 16 and a junior at Minooka High. I have a sister, Allyson, who is 14 and a freshman.
Q: What is your toughest spare to make?
A: The 7-10.
Q: Other than the 7-10, what is the next toughest spare for you?
A: Probably the 10 pin. I am a right-hander with a big hook. And when I leave the 10, I have a tendency to have my ball hook around the pin [when trying to convert the spare].
Q: About your hook? There is a lot of motion. Who taught you how to hook the ball?
A: Actually, I learned on my own. I just practice a lot. When I started to get good bowling, I wanted to be able to hook the ball a lot and so I worked on it.
