COAL CITY, Ill. – Mrs. Constance Marie "Connie" Frye, 87, of Coal City, Ill., passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Morris Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Visitation and video tribute will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois 113) in Coal City.

Funeral services will follow at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee St., Coal City, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, with the Rev. Robert Noesen officiating.

Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

All of Connie's grandchildren will have the honor of serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

Born Feb. 21, 1922, in Carbon Hill, Ill., she was the daughter of John and Katherine (Darin) Baudino. On Jan. 8, 1944, she married William Frye in Coal City. He preceded her in death in 1989.

Mrs. Frye was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time with her family and shopping with her sister, Dorothy. She was a proud grandmother and especially loved being "Nona" to her great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her son, Robert Frye of Yorkville; two daughters, Wendy (Kenny) Huston of Coal City and Pam (Brad) Oram of Diamond; grandchildren Sheri (Steve) Fisk, Kenny Huston, Darren (Andrea) Huston, Kelly (John) Olson, Mandy (Joel) Eaton, Ben and Bill Frye, and John, Joe (Beth) and Bill Harvey; great-grandchildren Ashley Harvey, Tristen, Logan, Tyler, Connor, Lacie and Katie Huston, Sammie & Danny Olson, Micheala Frye, Dane Eaton and baby Eaton expected in May; and step-great-grandchildren Dylan, Cameron and Alec Lovell.

Also surviving are a brother, Jack (Marijayne) Baudino; a sister, Dorothy Welch; a sister-in-law, LaVerne Baudino; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; and a brother, Peter Baudino.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mrs. Frye’s memory to Joliet Area Hospice, Coal City Food Pantry or the donor's choice.
