Deputies ticket two for driving with suspended licenses

TWO DRIVERS have been ticketed for driving with suspended licenses by Grundy County deputies.

Martha Covarrubias, 36, Joliet, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and going 59 in a 35 mph zone on Illinois 113, near Redmond, in Diamond about 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Deputy Paul Clampitt reported he stopped Covarrubias for speeding. A check showed her license was suspended.

She posted $100 bond and was given a Dec. 7 court date.

Stephen Palonis, 28, 308 W. Main, Gardner, was ticketed for driving with a suspended license and going 71 in a 55 mph zone, about 3:40 p.m. Monday, on Illinois 47, south of Grinter Road.

Deputy Victor Elias reported he stopped Palonis for speeding. A check showed his license was suspended.

He posted $100 bond and was given a Dec. 14 court date.
