Lack of seat belt leads to warrant arrest

A MAN wanted in Kendall and Will counties was taken into custody by Morris police about 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2.

Thorston Smith, 21, Morris, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped near Lisbon Road and Candlelight Lane because he and the driver were not wearing seat belts.

A computer check showed Smith was wanted in Kendall County for failure to appear for violating his probation, with bond set at $500 cash, and in Will County, for failure to appear on a DUI charge, with bond set at $1,500.

Smith could not post bond and was taken to the county jail and held for the other counties.
