The Chicago Bulls took a backseat to Game 2 of the World Series on our newsroom television tonight, and they actually made me regret missing their season opener.

At least every game this weekend wasn't as bad for Chicagoland viewers to watch as Bears-Bengals ... though the Monday nighter came pretty close.

For the pure baseball fan in me, I suppose it's a good thing that the two teams I believe to be the best in baseball, the Phillies and the Yankees, will face off in the World Series.

I'm very much in favor of the Chicago Cubs giving Rudy Jaramillo a three-year contract to be their hitting coach ... but those expecting miracles are in for a disappointment.
